Hi everyone! I am in the process of restoring a 1943 Willys MB and just wondered where the best place to get the correct NDT tyres from is.

I have found a few places that do them at around £70 each. I think these are made in India. I know there are also the Firestones available at around £120 each.
My question is: are the cheaper tyres false economy? They will be going on combat rims.

Any advice would be most welcome!

Thanks in advance!
Matt

Hi, It depends on how many miles your hoping to get :D an indian set will take you just asfar as the firestones, your paying for the brand name like a pair of nikes  balancing and toe in adjusted correctly is a must.
seriously i do an average of 500 miles a year, they'll outlive me :!: most dealers should give a discount if buying a set of 5.

Ok thanks Dave, will look into those too. Are you running on Combat Rims? If so do you use beadlocks or just flaps?

Matt

That's great, thanks Lloyd. Few phonecalls to be made methinks! :D

I must say, since getting this jeep, the amount of help I have received from the jeep owners community has been fantastic! All very friendly guys who are keen to see another one back on the road!

Thanks Chaps!
Matt :D

I'm running on comabts with flaps, were a couple of bead locks when I stripped it down but left them out .
Not any problems with it over the years

Yea thanks Jon they were the first ones I looked at, these are the ones made in India. Do you use them? I rang them up for a quote on 5 and they were very helpful! They also mentioned that they also supply some of the more well known Jeep firms!
Thanks for all the advice chaps!
Matt
