Hello,

Has anybody got any images or knowledge on Fallschirmjager dog tags, I was thinking of getting some made and stamped to portray Italy or North Africa but wondered if anybody had an idea of what information was included on the dog tags and if they would have been re-issued if you changed division etc as the war progressed?

Any and all information on this topic will most certainly be welcomed, thank you all in advance.

German Fallschirmjäger tags were stamped with a Mobilisierungs number code (5 digits) as well as letter "T" and a bloodgroup stamp. You need to decide which unit and then find out which code you need. The tag usually stayed with the owner, despite any unit changes. Only replaced if lost or if the new unit decided it was needed.

Example of one, although not "T" marked this is original from FJR 1
