Putting together early, middle and late war FJ impressions. I would appreciate some advice on the current best quality uniform suppliers. I am located in Europe. I need early and late war fligerbluse, trousers, cap and side cap. Did junior NCOs wear a peak cap? After the better quality suppliers, don't mind paying a bit extra for accuracy and better quality

Not my usual area, so any help would be appreciated. If you have anything spare that you are willing to let go, then feel free to pm me.

Flieger, Jump smock, helmet cover and bandolier are best from: http://www.panther-store.cz/en
M43 Cap and side caps: http://www.gd43.com/
Helmet (expensive!) and there are other cheaper ones out there: http://www.fallschirmjager.biz/store_re ... _werke.htm

Panther-Store are indeed excellent for the Fleigers, Smocks, bandoliers, etc. You won't get better for the money.

Thanks for the help. I knew their Panther Store's smocks were good, but hadn't heard comments on their Fliegers. What about jump trousers?

While we're talking about kit, who does the best gas mask bags? First and second pattern boots?

Boots would have to be one of the custom made Czech suppliers. The SMW ones sold by various UK suppliers are made for the bigger gentleman and are too big around the calf, the stu ones fall to bits with heavy use.

Jump trousers, not sure about well made ones, possibly Lost Battalions in the states. I got some G-Max ones 10 tears ago but they no longer make them. Might be just as well off with some Chinese ones.

Thanks for the tips lads. Can I ask about Don Calder's gear. Is it worth the postage (and for me the 19% import tax) to ship it over from the States?
