As SS FJ 600:

Basic kit:
M38 jump helmet
Splinter B jump smock (I'd avoid the "SS" camo pattern, I cannot remember seeing any period pics of them being worn)
FJ "springenhosen"
Front lace jump boots
Waffen SS belt buckle
No Luftwaffe eagle on the jump smock.

Any camo trousers would have been battlefield pick up.

Regards,

Gary.

Why no eagle on the jump smock? I thought that was given to every paratrooper once they've finished the training.

That was the jump qualification badge?
Makes sense when you think about it.

Good for the basics, shows uniform as Jaws describes. No fancy stuff just the average SSFJ.

For SS fj, only the insignia would distinguish them. Avoid left arm eagle though. Other aspects of ss camouflage should be avoided in this instance. Helmets similarly are extremely unlikely to bear any insignia.

There's only one real way I know to mix ss smocks and Luftwaffe kit legitimately, that's HG.
