Right, I know people call it "nazi" but Fj are not NSDP :)
Try web sites like epic militaria, Richard underwood or militaria.net.
Basic kit is pretty much as follows;
-knochensack MUST be in splinter B or step in olive(between 80-100 quid)
-fliegerbluse (£60-90)
-FJ jump trousers (£50-70)
-1st pattern or 2nd pattern boots depending on what year your going for (£100-150)
-sleeper shirt (£30-50)
-lufty ski cap (£15-30)
-Brown belt and buckle (£30ish)
That is a very basic impression.

One thing I would say about your video is that if you want to start re enacting or anything like that you really shouldn't worry about showing your face...

Actually the FJ were very much politically motivated so you could definitely classify them as nazi, but indeed not part of the NSDAP :)

Step in olive smocks were DEFINITELY used up to 1945!!!!!! Second line FJ units and new recruits got all the older stuff but even FJR6 in normandy still used green smocks.

Rooster1, you need to buy some books mate.

Start with Soldat Volume 8 Fallschirmjager by Chris Mason.

Most private battles in the UK are late war (Normandy to D-Day).

Regards,

Gary.

there are 2 good osprey books that will help, and as gaz says you need to consider the theater your going to portray, I know gaz does late war temperate theater, but if your going to do med theater such as casino you will need tropical kit aswell as your jump smock, I am just trying to acumulate the remainder of my trop kit, but you can get most of it from various places, the biggest and probably most important thing to make sure you get right is the splinter pattern, the smocks must be in either Splinter B or Tan and Water (if you get the camoflage ones), not splinter A, Epic and SOF both sell the smocks in Splinter A (I know cos I asked them and got a rather rude reply back from both saying something along the lines of yes there Splinter A not B), richard underwood or spearhead are probably your best bet but i never figured out the import stuff for spearhead as there US based, not sure if you will get slammed for import duty which can be as much as 1.5x the cost of the items your importing.

Gary.

No, they are not.
They are based out of Singapore or so they claim. Hong Kong or China is more likely.

How do you arrive at 1.5 times? What UK taxes run at 150%?

I've had kit from spearhead five or six time.

Usually pretty quick postage times.

Very reasonable postage rates (well this was a few years back), nt got hit for imports once.. although i've been hit *every* time with redwolf airsoft also in the far east.

Barry from spearhead is also pretty reasonable about combined postage or if you dont need the free insignia he included supplying other bits and bobs to compensate.

I rate spearheads stuff but then i only use it for private battles I've only *once* used it publically and that ws to assisnt PD and AFRA members in putting a display on of Axis kit for serving British Army officers... if it was s***e they were either being polite or didnt notice. I'd have expected Paul to have said something though if I was wearing blatantly wrong stuff.

well i was told that spearhead was an american company, as for the 1.5%, this is what i was told by my uncle as he has been charged sometimes the cost of the item in import tax before he was able to get the items.
