Got myself an M38(from Epic, so I imagine its a Sturm?).

I normally take a 59 with hats and a 59 liner in an m35/m40 is a good fit for me normally. This M38 is a 59/60(well, the label on the bag says that...)....but it doesn't fit at all. Sits on the top of my head like a little clowns hat and looks somewhat retarded. Have I missed a trick here? Do you have to order a size up or two, or is it just cheap Sturm crap that I need to return?

Ta.

A repro M38 that isn't massive? Where did you get it?

Sounds like send it back. You would have to change the liner to make it fit your head. (What's the point doing that? Is the shell a super copy and worth keeping?)
I've heard of modifying larger sizes to fit smaller heads but not the other way round. Will the shell accomodate a larger size liner?

I've seen some repro M38's that sit too high on the head and yes they do look silly. I'm in the market for a M38 but I've got a small noggin' (size 54!!!) I was beginning to look at the cheap chinese copies wondering if they made small sizes for small chinese heads...

Regards,

Gary.

I've found that some repro M38's are cut too shallow to fit properly which also make them look like they are sitting too high. But if it's a Sturm helmet it's probably the liner. Does the liner fit your bonce comfortably or is it too small? The shell should come down far enough to cover the top half of your ears.

Aye, the liner's a pile o' wank to be honest. Had to utterly bastardise it. I'll hang onto it til I can afford something decent.

Does he actually sell liners seperately? Can't spy them on his Ebay shop.

Currently they're out of stock, but he informs that they'll be available once again in July.

"Try before you buy"...

Send it back for a refund?

Can you modify the mounting holes on the liner frame?

Regards,

Gary.

it looks as tho the liner has been sewn too tightly, its ok for now as it fits enough to work, just a little annoying, got it at a show and it seemed ok, wasnt till i saw pics i realised.
