Here are some pics of our last exercise, here we dressed as 1941 for Merkur, as something special, as we are FJR5, we changed to III./L.L.St.Reg that day. Pics are the 2 Junker JU-52 at cuatro vientos museum, Madrid.

-Megara airfield, 40km, NW Athens, Greece. 5:00 am. March to the airfield embarking zones, and waiting orders, at 7:15 H+15 we have to drop to Maleme Pyrgos sector, as part of Major Scherber III./L.L. St.Reg.

Superb pics, the only things I would have done different is put the knockensaks over the belt order and no rifles. You could get away with MP40's as these may have been carried (without mags). Not a criticism, just what I would have done.
It would have been nice if you could have had 'chute harnesess, but they are rare and expensive! (An RZ16 harness and chute bag just sold on ebay for £300! Repro!!)
Very well done lads, I enjoyed the pics! A great turnout by ya'll!

Best regards,

Gary.

Yes , Gary, thanks, and you are right about the equipment, but as we cant have the two parachutes and the waffenbehalter( the owner finally had another trip that weekend unfortunately ) we decided to wear all as "travellers" more than paras without para.

May be the next invitation, with the two originals parachutes and one copy of harness we can play with that...

Cheers,
Jamie

A great opportunity to even get photos in kit next to and on the 'Tante Ju'. If you have more access to it you can develop and progress the photoshoot until you have a perfect pic.

Hi Darren,

Just a few pics, and the boys painted, and played with the photoshop and coloured with pale shades. But was a whole day in the museum with all the planes open to us, as you can imagine, not the only...we have close to 700 photos, and the museum did the same for them with a couple of cameras.

We will improve the next time, march - april, the next invitation. And hope all the group can go, included the parachutes, waffenbehalter... and more pics inside, but very difficult with all the equipment ( another good reason to put all the equipment inside the knochen...he,he,he), people...and seats, photographer.

Jamie

Hi Jamie

The first pic with all the group standing in front of the JU, is a great re-enacting pic for the group to have as a memento.

Cheers Darren

Thanks, Gary and Darren !!

Well was the first time the museum invited us, so we had to visit all the museum and see all the german planes and take a lot of pictures in a lot of places for the museum cameras, and then not all the time we wish to had to play with the two JU-52.

The general in chief of the museum and military airfield, was delighted with us and let us not only cross the security line around the planes, but even enter in the Ju´s.

So the next time we want to play more time, and carry more equipment to take better pics.

Good morning Friends, I'm a new entry in this forum. I'm an italian collector about militaria WWII and REPRO but I'm no expert reenactor also because I do not belong to any group!
With your permission I would like to insert this my photo in FJ uniform (I think Crete '41 or South Italy).
Is it possible to have your opinion about it ? I would like to improve in the future :)
Many Thanks and Regards
