Right I'm new to the german side let alone Fallschirmjaeger after being allied for years. I leave for beltring tommorow and wondered what I would need to pull this impression of. I'm starting completely from scratch as I have no german kit. The main question is what varyation in kit/insignia would I need. So far I know that the mainly wore no smock and carried a pistol as the armerment on most raids and were less likely to carry a bigger weapon. Apart from that I know nothing that I need to get an assult pioneers bag but thats it other than the normal fj stuff. Any help would be apprieciated.

assault pioneers carried the same eqiupment then any other Fallschirmjager out there, apart from they would carry the EXTRA pioneer gear.

FJ pioneer pouches are available though atm I can't think where ours came from, pioneer insignia is harder to come by (much as the heer shoulder boards but Mr Underwood is on the case as more than us have been asking about them)

Fallschirmpioniere wore yellow waffenfarbe so the insignia are the same. The only feature that would be different would be the normal shoulderboards with the yellow waffenfarbe and around that there would be a small black cord at the end, like an officer candidate would do with tresse.
I hope I explaned it so you would understand?

Yellow piping
no special engineer assault packs (there are only 3 known pics with them)
Black cord around shoulder straps only for Fallschirmpionierbataillon 5 (no proofs for other units yet)

The Fallschirmpioniere were equipped like the standard Fallschirmjäger, only some special tools in carriers were used.
