Drive it Dave, its the most fun you can have on 4 wheels. We limit ourselves to around the 100 miles mark. Takes a good few hours but with a couple of rest breaks takes a few hours. Jeeps should have no problem covering that distance even with a loaded trailer. Still works out cheaper than hiring a trailer.

Have to say have driven to events (Stoneleigh, Air Atlantique) and been trailer home due to time of return journey. Dont like the dark much or the cold.

Best of luck

LB

Indespension trailer hire on Sweet Brier industrial estate in Norwich do a great transporter trailer for £35 inc vat a day!!.
Quoted me £70 for the weekend (pick up friday afternoon, return monday 8.30 am) when i have to take the T/A drag racing.

It would cost me that in fuel alone there and back without what i'd use at the track, then theres the issue of getting home if i break it again!

Less likely with a jeep though. :D

They are nationwide but dont know if the cost vary???

Appreciated Dave

The return journey is never as much fun.

I have two of the guys in the group who are locale to me on the insurance for my Jeeps. They help me out on a long journey, but I have to fight them to get back behind the wheel sometimes. Helps when both are competent Mechanics too.

Problem when towing a bantam trailer is you can not then trailer the jeep really and you loose a lot of space for storage of display kit

Best of luck finding a locale contact

Surely that's against the "Road Traffic Act 2003" I read somewhere
"Impersonating a Lloyd on the road is liable to a fine and 3 points"
