Hello all,

We're filming the documentary side of our short film (Above and Beyond: The Craftsman) with Wally Harris in France this weekend.

Does anyone know where we should go to hire a WW2 jeep in France (Near Lille / Northern France) for this Sunday? We've had someone let us down at the last minute.

A Jeep in British use would be ideal, but American is fine.

Any advice / contact would be appreciated.

Richard

Finally watched your trailer, it looks pretty good. I can see you were asking for donations in order to complete the film, did it get completed? It looks like you only raised half of the target?

A nice bit of film work there. You can get funding for such work from the film council and other organisations not necessary film related. The amount you are asking is not that much compared to what some ask for. You have nearly finished the film, so its not like you have just started it, so you have something to show. I will speak to our fund raising woman at work, she once said a while back, that there are quite a lot organisations that have money to spare but people don't ask about or are not aware that funds are to hand. I will ask.

I have asked her, she said try the Greenham common trust who have a data base for funding or can advise who to contact or you could try the Hants & IOW community foundation. They can help or can point you in the right direction. Not sure what part of the country you are from. She also said don't try the Arts trust/ council which would relate to filming as they seem to have no money. Hope this helps.
