Post subject:  Recommended vendors for equipment

Hi there,

I've only really just got into WW2 re-enactment (I've done Dark Ages/Medieval for a while now), and I was hoping somebody might be able to point me in the right direction for acquiring kit. I'm particularly after DAK stuff at the moment, so any advice on where to go to acquire uniform/equipment/etc would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Sam,
Best bet is if you haven't already find a group that does DAK then they will point you to the right vendors so you will fit in with their look!
Save you getting kit that's wrong saves you money!

Hi Andy,

That would certainly be helpful, I've done the same with British gear and have already been directed to some decent stuff by a friend who does it. However I don't know anyone in a similar group for DAK, so I'm a bit more at a loss there.
An adage that I have to tell most of the freshers at the medieval society I'm part of.

That's always the problem with doing a unit/army/country that isn't done much here - trying to find someone to help and advise can be difficult. (I should know!)

Have you tried contacting the Italian Group Mediteraneo, as I think that they have displayed alongside DAK reenactors, and may be able to point you in the right direction? Have a look on the Italian section of this forum!
