I'm building the Academy-Minicraft 1/25th Scale Panther Ausf. A, and I'm wanting to super-detail it.

Can anybody out there please provide me with clear detailed photos of the engine deck area and the rear plate and exhausts ? I have the Osprey book on the way, but wondered if any of you Deutches Soldaten had any better images that you could scan and send to me.

Many thanks for any help you can give.

All the best,

Bryn

Those would be incredibly handy PD. Cheers.

I don't know if they do a brass detailing set for the Academy 1/25th scale Panther mate ( Use to be the Tamiya kit. They did the Panther and Jagdpanther, which are now available as Academy kits, a Tiger I and some others. Might have been a T34 and Centurion ? ). Can't find a reference to a set in either Verlinden or Eduard. If they did it would make my job SOOOOOOOOOO much easier. I think I'm going to have to scratch build all the mesh covers etc. using the best mesh I can find, plastic card etc. etc. No great hardship, just mind numbing

Ta very much lad :D

Whoops! Thicko me - didn't see the scale - 1:25 Impressive! I'll make an effort for you Bryn. Did you get it locally? I haven't been in teh model shop for AGES! I've still got a IV and V to finish along with a 251D with brass etched kit to START!!!!!

Got it from these guys:

They're getting bloody hard to get hold of. I was tempted to get the Jagdpanther too :D Nice kits. Seperate link tracks which sit right. Come motorized, but I won't be using that. Some of the detail is a little out, but you can fix it if you have good references.

The Panther G on their Academy page doesn't have the seperate link tracks, I don't think.

Thought you might like that :D

I use to have the Broom Handle Mauser they made. Nice model. Very heavy and with a bit of a wire wooling, the outer surfaces look like blued steel.

Cheers me old.
