I am excited to announce a new project under the gracious auspices of WW2 in Colour.

Currently with the working title "The Other Allies" the aim of the group will be to showcase the servicemen and women of the allied nations other than Great Britain, the United States of America or the Soviet Union.

If you are a good quality reenactor with a suitable impression or have always wanted to create that niche impression but have never had an outlet for it then drop me a line or take a look at our Facebook page.

As some here will be aware I took a rather silly tumble a few weeks ago and broke my leg rather well. As a consequence I am likely to be hors de combat for several months including the early part of next season certainly.

I'd like for The Other Allies project to continue if people are still interested. Paul Groves has kindly agreed to act as a point of contact for anyone wishing to attend events as a guest of WW2 In Colour.

I hope to be back in at least limited action by June so I hope that I will be able to catch up with people then.

Bon chance mes amis.

WW2 In Colour are still lookingbto recruit for this project. Cocentrating on the North African/Mediterranean and European theatres 1942-45, we are looking for reenactors portraying the following nations:

Australia
New Zealand
India
South Africa
France
Poland
Belgium
Netherlands
Greece

If you are an individual reenactor or a small group that would like to be part of something bigget then please get in touch, either here or via the WW2 In Colour website or Facebook page or The Other Allies Facebook page.

I see this as an umbrella/feeder group where if we find we have several reenactors portraying one nationality they can form their own unit within WW2 In Colour. For instance, my own pet project, Forces Francaises Libres LHG, portraying 1ere Division Francaises Libres and 2eme Division Blindee will work as part of this group.

Hello,

I am from Dogs of War Reenacting Group from Brazil, and I think that we could help with uniforms and equipment of the Brazilian Expeditionary Force that fought in Italy attached to U.S. 5th Army in 1944/1945.

Further information please contact me.

Regards.
