The JRA has a new website, it can be found at http://www.japanesereenacting.co.uk/

Still very much a work in progress, and not being great with computers will never be as good as some other groups but will do the job for the time.

Any groups who would like to exchange links please get in touch

I visited the website and it seems that you have a good pr on your website. Maybe you just have to post some ads to have a link exchange to some high pr website too. I would try to check your website again later.

Hi mate

Looks good for a starter. You`ll learn more about websites as you do them. Besides; a website should never be finished, it should always be in the Beta version, and improving.

The main thing is, that you`ve a good url and a good basis there. :D

You`ve a niche, so should be found relatively easily. Things to (perhaps) try as well are: Facebook - set a FB group up and link to your page. Twitter - each time you make a 'tweet' with a link to your site, it adds another link to the ones to your site and raises your Google stats.

Check out http://sharethis.com . Once registered, this little application can be added as code to your site and allows vistors to add you site to their social networking profiles with one click. Simples!!

Not sure what programme you`re using but see if it lets you add 'meta data' - - keywords. Then think of the ones you need, like Japanese, Japan, Imperial Army, reeenactment, WW2....that sort of stuff.

This is where it needs to go on the head of your page...

Quote:
<html>
<head>

<title>Welcome To The WW2 Japanese Reenactment Association</title>

<meta name="keywords" content=""> .............insert keywords here<meta name="description" content="">
.

Also write the introduction to use as many of these as possible. See how many times 'the world at war' is on my homepage for example.....and because of stiff competition it`s still not on Google page 1!! :?

Finally, use these keywords when writing the 'alternative text' descriptions on your pictures.....as Google uses this to determine the page too.

The posh name for this is seach engine optimisation ( I work in web...)

Hope that helps, and keep up the good work :D
