Hugh[/quote]

HI
I am a new member of the 2nd guards
anywey, a plasch-palatka is a square sheet of canvs which has eyelets on each corner (metal for cold war, fabric for WW2). this is because it can be used as a shelter or a rain cape. it is easyer shown than written

As for the meshok, when the sack is full, the top is creased up to form a neck, and the drawstring is pulled tight. In the middle of the shoulder strap a slipknot is made, fitted over the neck tube, and pulled tight. The neck is pulled up through the loop, turned over the loop, and secured with the surplus drawstring.

Ah, so the drawstring is tied round the slipknot as well? Meshok and I are not droogs at the moment after the knot decided to forget it's patriotic duty and cause all kit to fall out on to the pavement - to mirth of passers-by!

Hi Guys
just a couple of questions on the new kit. Firstly, what do you wear under the tunic? Will any linen shirt do?.
Secondly, how does the backpack work? The straps seem to be attached to the bottom of the pack, how does this go on without everything falling out?

Hugh

Comrade,
Your questions into the Highly advanced (purely defensive) military equipment systems of the People in this unsecured section of this Peoples Forum, is a serious breach of Security... it has been noted as has who is viewing it and the full weight of the law will be deployed on them...... woops!...
This Rezident is ordered to report to the 4th Floor.....I will be a little while.

Odd translator.....Poka is the informal version of Do svedanya, in the same way Priviyet is to Zdrastuvuy.

"Bye potato hag!" comes from a brilliant, but unremittingly brutal, film called Lilya 4 Ever.
