Very successful display at W&P as per.
Cleethorpes next for some serious heavy weapon fun.

Building our new toy is taking some time, but will be ready (Fingers crossed) for Levisham where she shall remain as a permenent display piece.
Replica WWII vehicles just got bigger...............

Second that Neil, and Cleethorpes was a great success with 3 mortar crews working as one. Looking forward to Levisham and playing with a seriously big Das Reich made Prop.

"Thor", our replica Styer Artillariewagon (Armoured train) went down a storm with the public at our last event of the year. Weather and intermitent train services bent, but didnt break, the combined effors of all involved.

Thats it for this year.

Next season, new challenges, new equipment, new skits, gags, scenarios, displays to plan and several new members to train.
Big thanks to all my Guys and Gals for yet another fantastic year together, wouldnt want to be anywhere else, with anybody else.

Cheers
Uncle Neil

WARS Announcement

Following Jon Whitehouse retirement from the re-enactment scene, the honour has fallen on myself and “Das Reich” to take up the banner and run with it.

To this end, can all WARS group member head-sheds contact me ASAP to discuss continued membership.

It is envisaged that 2013 fees will be maintained along with group rules and T&C’s though I will be introducing a new Risk Assessment and Method Statement (RAMS) format for member groups.

WARS only deals with groups, but that shouldn’t really stop independents. Simply have an AGM, declare your self a group of one or two called “Independent 101” and apply for WARS membership.
Couldn’t be easier!

WARS is a long established society that includes Allied and Axis groups, provides top level insurance cover with a co-operative, friendly and no nonsense approach!

Following a successful photo shoot today, were all gearing up for our first public of the season, Bushey Hall. Great show. Small but perfectly formed. Call by and say hello.

Just for clarification, forum member Hanser (Dave Spelling) left "Das Reich" in January.
Regardless of what it says in his profile, Hanser is no longer part of "Das Reich" or WARS.

We all wish him the best of luck with the new group he is starting, but would like to ensure that there is no confusion regarding this matter

Cheers
Uncle Neil

Big thanks to Russell Cobb and Pete Stern for the great photos.
Very enjoyable start to the season with T-Boy, Bushey and RGM under our belts.
Lots of old and new dogs with new tricks to learn :D
