BTW Neil, you do know that the shattered trench your guys were sitting in was dug by the Glorious Red Army don't you.... we threw back successive waves of fascist aggression from that very soil :D

Here are a few photo's of us at the Gunpowder Mills. Great show, great weather. Maybe recreating the Monte Cervino in the Winter of 42 wasn't such a good idea.....

Its a Tent! Its a Poncho! Its a Ground Sheet! Its a Camouflage against the enemy. My word, its even a waterproof sleeping bag! It is not, however, German.

M33 Elmetto. Good against shrapnel. Great for grinding coffee. For that superb sweat encrusted taste.[/size]

Camerati Supermario...its still pleasing to see the level of detail and passion for your chosen impressioni....and of course the obligatory wearing of "FULL KIT"...;-)

All the best mates

Lloyd

Good experience. The director wanted lots of 'Now put your hands up', but as this documentary was about the Italians routing the LRDG at Jebel Sherif, we told him that that didn't happen. We did a couple of 'Captured scenes' for archive material, but eventually did the scenes of the troops of the Auto Carro Sahariana capturing the commander of the LRDG mission.

Yes it was a good day and an excellent site for pictures.. Was getting despondent with the constant.. " you italians are now prisoner's .." take after take... but the look in the directors eyes when Supermario screamed " MANI IN ALTO!!" whilst levelling a Carc at his head, during the capture of Clayton scene, was priceless!!
Robou, i take it you refer to the " keepa da sand outta mia eye's.." goggle look, that you so surreptitiously adopted, whilst Fabrizio and neil where " firing at the nemico" ?? :D
