well it looks like the JRA won't be attending any public shows this year due to the personnel situtation of a few of its members.

But we are having another private battle this year, following the success of last years Saipan event we are doing another one this year based on a burma campaign, have a look at viewtopic.php?f=105&t=58360 for more details

Thanks guys, personnaly my situation is now that i'll be working most weekends and im only getting 12 days holiday entitlement for the whole year so i haven't got the time to attend things. This may all change back again soon with the help of the union but who knows, not fair to book into things unless we can definatly attend, although if other groups ever need a couple of Japanese troops for a display idea we may still be able to help out in that department.

We're planning to do Marines again this year (Unsure if ultra early or late period) at Victory if you or your lads want to pop along to it.

I'll second exactly what Rob said. Bravo Boy's and Girls! Excellent display. Professional looking and acting. As i said to the Good Ryan Himself, and will repeat on the WWW, Definately the PREMIER WW2 JAPANESE REENACTMENT AND LIVING HISTORY GROUP IN THE COUNTRY. However, i would also add that you are probably one of the most accurate and friendliest groups in the world too, and certainly other groups could be taking a big leaf out of your book. Keep it up Guys. Best of show in my opinion.

All change for this year, the group is now under the control of Steve Holden who most would have seen portraying the officer in the group. The reason for the change is mainly down to the fact that i have grown totally sick and tired of the whole hobby and have moved away to try other things, first of which is to totally destroy my Jaguar on a banger track :D seems like a much better use of my time than sitting in a cold field  Been fun guys, at times

Thats a shame Ryan. I know you've been hanging on the edge for some time, its still probably a hard wrench for you but I'm sure it will only be for the best once you reached that point.

Will miss not seeing you around, we've had some laughs.

Good luck with the motor racing, if you get serious with it, drop me a line... I might be able to help ;-)

Hi mate, yeah i think its for the best alround, been considering it like you say for quite a while now and i can't face another year of it, still going to do that chalke valley history festival this year as a one off as i've already said i would, hopefully in the evening i'll be able to have a few last drinks in uniform lol
Looking forward to the motor racing, although the idea of spending hundreds of pounds for the chance to possibly end up in hospital seems just as weird to the rest of the family as reenacting did.

well it would appear since i've given up control of the JRA its been renamed as something like the Imperial Japanese Forces Group. If anyone sees the lads around anywhere its the same guys as before just without any involvelment from me. Hopefully the new set up will be as successful as the original incarnation of the japanese group and continue to grow
