Consall Station is a beautiful location Tom, tucked away in a small Derbyshire Valley, a million miles from no where. Very little in the way of modern buildings or anything of that matter to spoil the overall impression of the place and your photo's.

Personally looking forward to working closely with Eventplan, much prefer multi period living history events these days, better atmosphere I think, since everyone's who attends, no what period they represent get along really well with each other and gives real spirit to the weekend.

Sunday saw members of GD troop down to Weston to take part in the filming of a video 'short' due out later this year.

Thought i'd share a couple of pics with you of us all getting our boots dirty for the first time this season - there will no doubt be more to follow :D

The rest of the gallery is now live on the site.:)

Also a reminder that we are always on the lookout for motivated recruits with historical knowledge and a genuine interest in WW2 and especially 'Grossdeutschland' (an interest in German beer is also helpful for when the public goes home :) )

As well as the need for Schützen we have specific vaccancies for medical and signals personel to compliment our growing infantry unit.

If you like what you see and think it might be for you please get in touch.

Just a quick update; GD Recon's members will be attending their annual event at:

'Victory in Europe Weekend' - Churnet Valley Railway Staffordshire - 26th and 27th April
Our usual high standard Living History Display can be found at the little Consall station buried deep in the wooded valleys midway down the line.

GD Recon welcomes any new or old faces to our larger, so if you fancy popping along for a friendly chat or would like to enquire about joining our merry band, please feel free to stop by
:D

To appeal to the 'Mr Ben' inside of us all, we've decided to adopt an anything goes policy within the group this year when it comes to the beer tent and socialising after the MOP's have gone home.

Most of the following have been researched and some custom made by tailors following original photographs as they are often not availble through the usual suppliers.

Just thought i'd share a few of our alternative impressions with you all :)

Our next 2 shows come one after the other, the first being Ashby Magna in Leicestershire this weekend - a nice chillout show for us but usually with very interested MOP's followed the weekend after by Bovington as guests of the LHA, which we are really looking forward to as a group.

If you're going to either, come and say hello. :)

Also uploded the 'Cold Blood Kill' movie trailer to the website tonight, to see it go to:
