Hi All,

Totally unfamiliar with German weapons and just wondered what, if any, the differences are between Wartime P38s and the postwar German Police varients that you see around for sale. I'm not looking at getting a 100% accurate wartime P38 or anything like that but at the same time don't want to buy one that looks F-all like it should.

The grips can be different (but are easily changed), but I think that apart from the markings the main difference is that the post war model has an aluminium rather than steel frame.

But say for example i was building up my 517th Op.Dragoon impression, a unit who used a lot of captured German pistols and wanted it to go in a Holster on a belt, it'd be ok?

I suppose it depends on how authentic you want to be, but it's a lot better than a Denix!
