Nooby to German kit but I'm looking for one genuine wartime issue MP40 mag. I've heard there are post war mags that are quite numerous but I need an original wartime one.

Firstly could anyone tell me if this is true and what the difference is between the genuine article and a post war variant, secondly would anyone be able to tell me what the going rate is for a decent nick wartime mag (not looking for SS stamped or anything fancy like that)

Thanks

Shift

I think you refer to the magazine for the Belgian Vigneron MP, that closely resembles a wartime MP40 mag but is marked quite differently, usually with 'VIG'. I have no idea if they actually fit/work on an MP40 but they are used for display in mag pouches etc.

Thank you, I knew there was something but unaware of the finer details. Size wise they must be sluightly different as I'm aware a wartime original MP40 mag will fit a British Sten but a post war one will not (hence the questions and the need for the wartime mag)

Cracking thank you, now I know that I'm looking at. What's the going rate for an MP40 mag these days?
