Hi guys,

Looking for some info about Tokyo Nakata mp40s, I.e how much they are worth, can they be changed to a Blank firer? and if anyone has any pictures of one that would be great help.

As weired as it sounds i have an mp40 but dont know who made it etc, but think its one of these from pictures i have seen.

Regards

Daz

Were they made as plug firing, or just a props?

Still after some pictures if anyone has any.

Its the Japanese version of a denix. you can convert them with alot of hassle welding and a new bolt and spring but it would cost more than going and buying a marushin!

If you want a blank firer only get MGC's £500 - £850 (make sure the end cap gets spot welded)
If you want plug firers Marushins £250-£350 (sound ok pain in the backside loading caps picking up the shells and cleaning it afterward)

actually Tom they go as far back as 1968 & the early ones you can convert to PFC's provided you use alot of other parts :)

I answered that part thanks a little earlier the part you even quoted :)
I believe I stated it was a PLUG firer and stated MGC's were for blanks

Cheers guys.. Hot topic i see! I will try and post some pictures of mine and see what you think it is.

Has no makers markings, and has a spring bolt. Have seen some advertised on Milweb, and one other sites pricing them at £500 ish. Is this not a standard price then.

Regards

not for a nakata , friend was selling his for £200, dont think it even sold. there just a prop, a toy that you can do very little with.

The first question people ask, is can they be converted to b/f ? you reply with no and you wont get much interest.
Denix is £190 , an airsoft one is just below that. So for competition , the nakata cant compete and PFC are junk and plenty about to be had.

mine was produced in 1968
and the metal is not strong enough on any part
tom is corect ..no good for conversion but price is around the 400 mark as it is a collectors piece as it is
