there was a topic on here but I cant seem to find it

with all the Russian captures out there and the extensive bluing program they had

what should be black and what should be " in the white " ( plain steel ) as it were ?

I have the cleaning rod and the sight hood as well as the missing trigger guard screw retaining screws

and am cleaning up the stock to get it back to its wood like appearance and not a black plank under varnish

whats next ?

please don't turn this into a " its illegal " to clean it argument
or what I can or cant do

turning a black bayonet lug into a silvery bayonet lug ,,, hardly a job for the flying squad ,, is it

thank you

As you say there was or is a great thread on this dating back to when Ryton Arms imported all the weapons from the Ukraine.

From memory but our German experts wil be able to confirm it is the bolt and butt plate which should be plain steel. There is a lot on this if you google it.
