Recently acquired BNZ maker marked 1941 K98 Mauser. While researching the stamps on the rifle, i discovered a possible ?gestapo? mark, see link http://www.mauser.net/firearms/rifles/m ... /index.htm.

The second mark shown on the page is present on the on right side forward of the breech.

Need help on identifying as i dont really know what to believe online. so any help is much appreciated.

Cheers!

Real Name: boris bagbogbigban
every mention of them seems to find its way back to mitchell's mausers who seems to have less than favourable feedback on some US gun boards

bnz mean it was created in Mauthausen-Gusen Concentration Camp in Austria, adjacent to the Stehr factory or mayge less interestingly but more likely in the Stehr factory itself
