Just a quick question for you...What ammo pouches were used with the SVT 40 and also what sling was used with it? I was told a Mosin sling will do,is this right?
Thanks

Have a look on this site, scroll down until you see the SVT pouches, there are two basic types listed, I'm sure there are other variants too.
I think one was issued along with one of the standard Mosin pouches for stripper clips to top up the mags.
I cant remember what sling I have for my SVT.

I'm sure those better in the know will correct me but I think the Ppsh41 sling will fit.

The Mosin sling is OK. There is a specific sling for the SVT/AVT but no-one I know of will quibble over using a Mosin one.

The correct one is similar to the Shpagina sling just longer and wider. In fact I'd have thought the one for the Shpagina would come up a bit short.

There's a few variants on show here... http://www.mosinnagant.net/ussr/Svt-Photos1.asp
