Although I am not a ww2 Russian re-enactor but I have just taken ownership of my Mosin-Nagant M44 Carbine live firer. I went up to see Ryton to choose it and sort all the paperwork. I can have nothing but praise for Fred and all the people I have delt with at Ryton on this and other occasions. I had five carbines to choose from all wartime dated. Inspecting it was clear that none had seen any use as the wood work was unscratched and the barrel showed no signs of wear.

Based on what I have seen yesterday in terms of service and quality I would really recommed that people give them a chance as they had an excellent selection of Russian weapons for sale!

I buy a lot of weapons from Ryton Arms and would second your comments.

As they also import most of their own stock they are also usually much cheaper than the other dealers who buy their stock from them.

Like most of their Russian kit your M44 is most likely to have been post-war refurbished rather than unissed but still very nice.

Bought a de-ac pre war Mosin from Ryton, Rifle was in excellent condition, the price was very reasonable, if not the best price I've seen for a 1930's Mosin and the customer service was excellent too; they even phoned to see if i was interested in a matching serial numbered bayonet they had for it!

I'd recomend Ryton as a first port of call if your looking for a de-ac, especially for Soviet era Russian weapons.
