I have just found out today the Major Tony Hibbert of the 1st Airborne Division has passed away two days ago, this is a sad loss to the Airborne community, I had the pleasure of helping to put on a couple of Airborne displays at his Trebah Gardens in Cornwall in the past

Very sad news, seen his tv interviews and his appearance on Al Murray's 'Road to Berlin' documentary-fascinating Man, I remember in 2011 when we were over in Arnhem for the commemorations seeing his name on a seat following the Sunday service at the war graves cemetery-was very humbling.
Rest in peace Sir.

A few of us from WWII Re-enactment South West had the privilege to attend his funeral at Mawnan Smith Church. I hope that his Military Days will continue at the Garden. These have been a favourite on our calendar for many years now.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
RIP Major T Hibbert, you were there when this Country needed you.
