There is no dif between a new and old spec bren, they all move, it only changed SMGS and Semi Autos, Brens/BARS .30 cals etc are all same as old spec, your looking between £150-£500 , eg if ya want a Bren you will get one for under £200 but if you want a true Mk1 made in england or a mk3 your gonna be paying more.
Hope this helps

Aw Collins, it's not the gun that makes it a bargain, but the accessories thrown in

The principal difference between an old and new spec deac Bren Gun must be the lack of a removal barrel.

Really.....I must be unlucky then :?:

Both of my pre-1995 bought BREN's had pinned non-removable barrels...??

All brens deactivated after 1988 should have pinned or wielded in place barrels, Those that are post '88 and have removeable barrels have been altered to do so.

Price wise, The market seems to be settled at the moment, the main suppliers are selling mk1's for about £200 and mk2's at about £180-£190. A Mk1 DD can set you back £390-£500 Dependent on seller and date/completeness. A mk3 can go for £400-£650, again depending on seller and condition, watch out with mk3's as theres alot of Indian DP mk3's around with the orignal number ground off and a new DP number added. The correct mk3 Number will start with LB, for Lightened Bren.
