Of the Bren Variants I would like an L4 not WW2 but have fond memories of them

I think they are coming on to the market now, but be prepared to pay the standard arm & leg. BTW, has anyone seen the butcher job that is currently being carried out on those SLRs that have been released - b****y criminal.

The one I saw looked ok from a distance. The Bolt Carrier had the return spring removed & the Carrier itself cut in half (Badly) with a blow torch. The pistol grip was from an FN, as there was a cut out for the change lever. The Gas Plug was welded to the Gas Port. All in all, B****y criminal.

I don't think the FN pistol grip will fit Imperial SLR, and the standard Brit Pistol grip also had the cut out for the change lever. If any body is intrested, the FN FAL and variants fall into two main deviations, the first is the FN derivatives in Metric measurements, i.e STG, Imbel etc. the second is the Inch derivatives, I.e Enfield, BSA, Lithgow (Australia), Ishapore (India) and the Canadians (LongBranch??).

The parts of the Metric and Inch versions are not interchangable.

Cheers for that m3bobby - I stand corrected on that one.
