Hi all, I would like some help please -

I know that the MkII Sten Gun was introduced in 1941, I'm looking for a sling dated 1941 or 1942 but can only find slings dated 1943 or later. Were slings made before 1943 or is it that earlier dated are very rare.

Many thanks

Yes, there was a an early Mk1 sling that was a fixed 36" length. The Mk2 is the common-or-garden adjustable type with the buckle. Mk1 slings are rare, although I think I've seen them turn up on eBay every now and again.
