MKV Sten buttplate

Chaps are the MKV Stens always fitted with the brass buttplate (which I presume is the Enfield No4 one ??? )
Reason I ask is that No4s seem to have a steel or a brass buttplate

Many thanks in advance for any replies

No not always, early guns had the gun metal plate (brass) and later guns had the steel flat plate. The Mazak cheapy ally looking ones for the no.4 are supposedly of US origin.
