Can anyone tell me what sling British would use for a 28 thompson. I have a Kerr type attached to mine but this photo seems to show something more like an enfield

To my knowledge, a standard enfield sling.

Yep, a standard Enfield Rifle sling and that's a M1A1 Thompson and possibly of Australian origin.

Kerr sling, US M3 sling, standard 'Enfield' rifle sling or the longer version for late/post war period. All valid.
