 Post subject: sten screws

I have just got hold of a sten mk2 old spec deact mine has a bit of wire holding the trigger housing cover in place in photos it has a screw on either side holding it in place does anyone know what size the screws are so I can get some

Firstly have you checked that your Mk2 has the threaded holes or the holes for the dimpled cover? Secondly are the threads OK? If your good to go you need 2BA x 3/8" round head, with a 2BA shake proof washer, same as the mag catch retainer plate screw. Available on ebay quite cheap, just clean, heat over a gas flame until it's just glowing and drop in old engine oil (older the better). If you do it indoors, go really hot, briskly walk out the door and then drop in the oil.

That's a top tip! Need to log that one and remember to sort out the screw in my MKII.

got some screws of ebay had to cut them down a little put some washers on job done
