your on about the front nut that gives you something to grab or
the bit of bent metal on the side of the mk 3s ,, stops your hand sliding into the action when firing ?

not a mk 2 item ?

theres a company in America aa ok that I got this pic from ,, but when you do a search for them I found loads of complaints of
them selling airsoft parts as real parts or parts not being sent

so be warned

They are a genuine item for the Mk2, I've not seen them on UK Mk2s but they were available for Longbranch made Mk2s.

Just had a look through my records and sure enough, the guard appears on the original drawings and is described as being for the Mk1,2 and 5.

I think the original resembles something like a spring steel clip, a mild steel one would not work very well and hold. Spring steel is also a bigger to fabricate.

And yet if you use google image search to look at Sten photos its probably not there in 99% of them....

Besides, why would you want such a thing, I mean loosing your fingers is all part of the fun of using a Sten.... that and accidentally shooting yourself or your mates. Its not called "the Devil's gas pipe" for nothing you know!
