Can anyone tell me if a top venting Blank firing 9mm Sten guns made by Dave Gunn are legal or illegal? The one i'm thinking of buying was made by him about 5 years ago and has MFE111 stamped on all moving parts. No original parts used/scratch built. No MFE111 paperwork to go with it though. Should i stay away from this?? I'm new to re-enacting so not sure if i should get this or a pre 95 de-act to stay within the law. :?:

I know my mate has a mk11 b/f sten, stamped mfe111, meaning it doesn't require a certificate.

Will try and ask him, but i'm sure he doesn't carry any paperwork for it, like said the MFE111 states its a manufactured blank firer, although i'm by no means an expert on blank firers.

Dave Gunns weapons are perfectly legal, they are top venting and are not capable of discharging any round from the barrel, they meet all home office requirements.
His guns are made of a good strong quality steel, that is durable.
If you have got the money go for it, the guns are well made, and work!

it seems most mp's (members of parliment) have websites, so if you dont want to put pen to paper, blitze them with e-mails!!! keep fighting, we dont have many rights left to us as it is. let the mp's know our side of the debate, some of them might defy the whips!
