Are there any good books about the subject or more specific, No. 2 Dutch troop? If you know a couple of titles, please let me know. All help is appreciated. Thanks!

I've just read a good book by pen and sword, called no.10 inter allied commando. Lots of good pictures and it deals with each country troop within the commando.

Hi Buck,

Thanks for the reply. I checked the website of Pen and Sword Books and I found two books about No.10 (IA) Commando:

http://www.pen-and-sword.co.uk/10-Comma ... ack/p/2594
http://www.pen-and-sword.co.uk/Commando ... ack/p/1715

I assume you refered to the first one. Did anyone read the second book?

Also I found this book: https://ospreypublishing.com/no-10-inte ... 1942-45-pb . I own a couple books from Osprey, but not all of them are good, in my opinion. The author is the same as the one who wrote Commandos in Exile. Any advice on this one?

If anyone knows if there's a book (or books) about No. 2 Dutch troop, please let me know. Thanks!

Try and get hold of a copy of Ten Commando (1942-1945) written by Ian Dear,it has a good chapter on the Dutch Troop.

Thanks Buck and Sea Soldier for the tip. I ended up buying both books for a bargain. Ian Dear's book is a good read and really interesting thusfar. Commandos in Exile is next on my list, so can't tell much about it at the moment.
I'm still looking for a book (or books) about No. 2 Dutch troop or men serving in the unit. If anyone can recommend a book, leave a reply. Thanks!

Hi Paul,

This is what I found on the legermuseum website: http://collectie.legermuseum.nl/sites/s ... %20van.pdf

It was in the list of Armamentaria publications: http://collectie.legermuseum.nl/strateg ... 04524.html

Kind regards,
Pepijn

Hi Pepijn

That's the transcript from the book, the book does contain some black and white photos, so may be worth tracking down a copy of the actual book, as per below:
http://collectie.legermuseum.nl/strateg ... 04543.html

The main books have been covered above, but the Osprey book is okay too.

It is also definitely worth looking on the CVA site here:
http://gallery.commandoveterans.org/cdo ... 0IA/Dutch/
And browsing the various forums on there too.

I'd also suggest looking at a friend of mine's album here:

cheers
Paul
