Yes the V Force is all very confusing. Thier patch has crossed daggers/knifes that appear to be Sykes knifes.
Lots of sites selling the patches and badges state "V Force Commando's".
I few bits of literature also refer to them as Commando's.
That is because the so-called V Force 'patch' to which you refer is actually a bad repro of a 5 Cdo badge, and has nothing whatsoever to do with V Force. This is from where the term 'commando' was introduced and it seems to be the source of the confusion in the minds of some re-enactors. I suggest that you do not depend on dodgy ebay vendors for your research. This has all been discussed on this forum previously - do a search – find an answer.
Please do not make you next question “Were RAF Servicing Commandos real commandos?”

God I've kicked that piece of wood again and all the insects have come out and they are all over the floor.
I must stand back, turn off the light and close the cupboard door. Eventually they will return from where they came from.
Lesson learned!

So the v force capbadge on the IWM website isn't the correct one?

Why the attitude guys. We're all here to learn. Surely if you have something relevant to the discussion you could pass it on in a less high handed manner.

Bob, don't let them get a rise out of you mate. You asked some genuine questions, there's always going to be those who'll do you down on here mate.

If you need help chap pm me, this thread has, sadly, like so many on here, turned into a platform for inadequate tools to put you down mate.

Don't understand people's attitude. Why not contribute in a positive way.

I very much doubt that!

This is the first mention of the cap badge. We were discussing "patches" and the use of the term "commando" in relation to V Force.
