No doubt you are in contact with James Dalgety, looking at the attached link it would seem his father had a strong connection to the Mk8 canoe.

Here's one of the latest phots. Hatches now in position.

The front one opens forwards, the two middle ones to the side. Next step is to start the canvas work.

Just had permission from Geoffrey Galwey's son to name the canoe. She is now known as... "Geoff's Fabulous Uncle Archie"! Lt. Geoff Galwey RN was an original member of COPPs and the unit's executive officer.

Unofficial launch and early sea trials today to adjust outrigger heights and check for leaks etc.

Highly successful - no leaks and everything else going well. Next is motorised trials.
