I am looking for a deactivated Enfield No 4 rifle - representative of that carried by the British soldier in WW2. I would prefer a UK made one. Can anyone tell me what I should be looking for and a good place to go to look (online largely)

thanks

ian

Practically every dealer on the net must have these in stock but obviously canadian production seem to be a lot more commom.

With such a commom weapon I would suggest you need to try and find the best example with mathing numbers and original woodwork so a visit to a show or dealer may be preferable to anything mail order. If you are worried about post-war rebuilds avoid these as well.
