Hi

Yes it is much more work that i realised.
My impression is Brit Infantry. I am with Tommy Atkins group portaying The Leicestershire regiment.
The Webely does not fit in with my rifleman impression but I brought it because i liked it and I will perhaps work on a second impression that I can use it with.
Below is a picture of th first half of the mould.
I have now poured both halfs of the mould.
All I now have to do is serperate the mould, remove the webley and do some test casts.

Hi guys

The mould is done and the test castings are going well.
I am really please with casts. The mould has picked up lots of detail including the batch number, The word "WAR FINIHSH" and the makers name.
One more test cast with the resin and metal filler mix.
If all goes well I can work out costings and cast some for you guys if you are still interested.

Regards

Karl

Hi ,

I don't want to spoil the parade, but after looking at some recent posts on the VCR Forum, aren't you effectively "manufacturing a realistic imitation firearm" and "selling a realistic imitation firearm"?

See link below in particular the second entry by SAFARISWING the very top bit about IMITATION FIREARMS

http://wwiireenacting.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=26464

A defence would be that

(3) It shall also be a defence for a person charged with an offence under section 36
in respect of conduct falling within subsection (1)(d) of that section to show
that the conduct—
(a) was in the course of carrying on any trade or business

So perhaps you ought to register this as a business first, if you're going to sell them

I really don't want to be a party pooper but in the current climate regards firearms and all issues pertaining to them I would be extremly careful about what I was doing

Cheers
