ARES M3 softair ...

recently i got my hands on a M3 Grease Gun "Airsoft" from the manufacturer ARES

the M3 is completely made of steel - not the soft stuff DENIX repros are made from but "real steel" - the housing and all major parts are pressed sheetmetal - like with the original M3 - barrel and other stuff is also steel

folding stock is tetracteable - magazin can be removed - the whole thing works with "popup" but due to the fact that i'm not "airsofter" i do not really know how to use the stuff

anyway:

i saw the HUDSON replica before and preffer the ARES M3

actually the ARES repop ain't a pure M3 or M3A1 but a hybrid from both ...

see comparison of both models:

the ARES version has the early cocking lever, larger dustcover, ...

just compare the pictures ...

from my point of view:

ARES M3 is recommended "replacement" for the high-pricy and rare original M3's

It does looks a bit bastardized though as it has an M3 look alike cocking handle but the enlarged M3a1 ejection port with bolt finger hole plus butt oiler, why didn't they simply do one or the other ?

Bingo!

and actually i'm also wondering why they are not able to issue 1 correct version and instead of that mixing up with that "hybrid" whatsoever thing ...
