Hi guys !

Before messing up with my type II rear sight on my M1 carbine, I'd like to know if you have any advice on how to replace a late war one with an early flip sight.

I'm gonna build the device to remove it (U shape support with a screw), then remove the adjustable sight by sliding it from left to right (when looking through the sights) then put the flip sight back in from right to left.

Does it need some sort of stamping so it stays on ?

Is this procedure correct ?

Thanks for your inputs.

Pat

Pat,

PM Lloyd Richards, he's a bit of a whizz kid on carbines!
