 Post subject: M1 Carbine Barrel Length

Can anyone tell me the correct length the barrel should be from the stock/barrel band to the end of the barrel/sight?

I.e. What is actually visible?

Polzystevo....sorry to be pedantic...but visible from WHICH TYPE barrel band......Type 1..2 or 3 with the bayonet lug ?
