What needs changing...

1/ complete woodwork....thats M2 carbine woodwork (4 rivert hanguard and see slot on side of bolt for fully auto selector switch)
2/ rear sight....for flip sight
3/ front band...for type one thin band
4/ push safety...for rotary safety
5/ mag catch push button for type 2 mag catch
6/ sling for correct C tipped sling

well you did ask.....

Thats the trouble with many armory rebuilt carbines post 1945...they were all built to M2 spec and are technically incorrect for WW2 impressions....

Regards

Lloyd

Thats the power of research mate and asking the correct questions

broad base costs to get it to correct WW2 spec

1/ Correct woodwork....£50
2/ Type 1 barrel band...£15
3/ Type 1 flip sight......£12
4/ Push safety........£5
5/ Magazine catch.....£5
6/ C tip sling.........£20

Then you will have a correct spec WW2 carbine that will only increase in value.......

But dont go like i do to get them factory correct....:-(

Regards

Lloyd

YOU give it to me at Beltring after purchase and let me do it.....

2 minute job to do...but would take me a side of A4 to explain

simple version....

remove magazine
turn carbine upside down
take sharp small pointed object
insert in hole under trigger housing near mag catch
prise plunger backwards
remove mag catch and spring..(DO NOT LOSE SPRING)
prise plunger forward
pull out safety (remembering which way it goes  )
insert new push safety

rebuild carbine reversing steps above

PS IF the trigger housing has been "punched" this job is a Bar-Steward as you will have to file down the dot punch to remove the old rotary safety

Regards

Lloyd

Dont forget the barrel band...this MUST have a Type 1 band to be correct.....those are the 3 BIG give aways....safety/sights and barrel band

The other stuff can come later.....i will bring my all correct early Winchester M1 carbine down with me so you can see what a correct one should look like

Regards

Lloyd
