Always a problem with 'monkey metal'; last time the hammer sheared on my Colt 1911, I drilled right through the two halves and used Araldite to cement both the parts and two drill bit shanks into the holes. Left it to dry a couple of days, used fine wet and dry to finish off and haven't had a problem since. Don't know if it's possible with your garrand part but that's what worked for me.

It could be possible as it will be a larger part than an m1911 thanks
