Gents my usual carbine parts supply source in the US of A has now got a production going of brand new made GI spec new production (repro) lock bar sights for M1 garands.....

these are going to be much much MUCH cheaper than original and rare lock bars and will give your garand a correct WW2 "look" much like my campaign to get yer carbine looking right ...

He can supply the complete sight OR just the long pinion, lock bar, windage knob, spring and adjusting nut.

They come correctly marked and the checkering and knob details are superb

I am just testing the water here with a possible demand and may ship some over....if the demand is there.

They look good...fit good and will be priced right.

So give me some feedback fellas...is there a demand to get some or not..?

Regards

Lloyd

Knowing how this forum work over the years, i have seen people stick their hand up in their masses for excellent opportunities such as this to improve their impression etc only to see the tumble weed pass when the price is mentioned. So what would be the price?

Hi Chris tentatively at the moment with all the engineering and setting up the tooling and shipping etc its gonna be around £25 for the long pinion/knobs/lock nut/bar and adjustment spring etc and about £55 for the complete sight inc cover and mount and reticle etc.

Most Garands will just need to replace their post war T109E1 sight with just the cheaper pinion and windage knob option and lock bar as they will already have the sight base and base parts on their weapon.

I will check but that will be a good ballpark figure.

I await the tumbleweed...:-)

But i have ordered 3 anyway i just need to know if theres interest for a bulk buy.

Regards

Lloyd

Oh hell, I'll have one (pinion etc only) at that price to swap the only remaining post-war one I have on my 3.

Cool! 8)
