There was an issue with motor homes and camping over I believe ...

What I was told is that it seems last year there were motor homes just arriving willy nilly all weekend, no real problem there of course except they were MOPS and promenaders and were there for a short time, consequently there were motor homes driving back and forth and parking behind the US encampment and disrupting the movement of the military vehicles.

It seems the organisers took the complaint on board but in typical fashion they made no distinction from genuine re-enactors with motor homes who were .. or would have been ... there all weekend, and just banned all motor homes from the display area, consequently as people couldn't camp near their displays .. well speaks for itself ...

I really do have to wonder sometimes at the attitudes of some organisers, they want a 40's event, but seem to make no consideration for the re-enactors they want to attend to attract punters ... its about time maybe they started asking re-enactment groups when organising an event ..??
