Hi all

This year we are starting the new "Bakewell at war" event.....

Step back in time to the 1940s and experience Bakewell as it was during wartime. The sights, smells and sounds will be found across the site as reenactors/ Living history demonstrates all aspects of life. From the land army preparing for the start of summer to the local military units training for the front.

Lots to see and do across the site including military vehicles, vintage/militaria stalls, Live entertainment and lots more.

To book in either as reenactors or Traders please email us at admin@eventplan.co.uk

We are already having a vast amount of interest for this years event covering all aspects of the war both military and Homefront.

Important Announcement:
It is with great regret that we must announce that our Bakewell at War event is unfortunately postponed.
Due to a series of wet events last year, and a winter event that also suffered from the weather, the ground at Bakewell Showground is quite damaged.
This is to the degree that the directors of the showground have agreed that they need to do considerable maintenance on the Show fields for their main annual events over summer, giving the ground time to repair. As a result our "new to the showground" event will have to take a back seat this year.
However the showground are keen to have the event return for 2018; therefore we will keep all those who have already booked and expressed an interest on our files and will be letting everyone know when the future event will take place.
In the meantime we are continuing with meetings at various North Midlands venues we hope will be able to accommodate a similar event this year for all those wishing to attend something in this area. It will more than likely be later in the year, but we will endeavour to find a suitable alternative for everyone to enjoy.
We'd like to thank everyone who has already booked and expressed an interest in this event and send our sincerest apologies for this announcement.
