The Cleethorpes 1940s show is ON, it is not cancelled, if anyone has any concerns contact me, this is the same spoiling tactic used 2 years ago. My number is 07982 604179 or PM me. The dates for those wanting to support are 12th 13th August,, setting up from 12 noon on the 10th 2017.

I haven't seen anything about this event in the local evening paper here in Grimsby the kiosk at Cleethorpes a local café had a 1940.s weekend last week but I have heard nothing about this event as I have friends coming over from Skegness if it on are there anymore re enactors going than the ones mentioned on here any more info about this would be welcomed ?

Have to say there's been none of the usual publicity or flourish to this year's event - hope the public know it's on. Seems the Armed Forces office aren't good at rolling publicity. Still the event will be a blinder by the sea :)

Yes Paul, spoke to my brother and an old school friend, they both say they haven't seen anything about it anywhere in the local papers ... puzzling to say the least.
Oh well as you a weekend by the sea ... lets hope Mr sun is out and about .. !!

Was thinking about going to crich this weekend but Cleethorpes show is on. Which is the best to go to. Never been to Cleethorpes show before.

Sorry Barry, by the time you'd asked this I was packed and gone to Cleethorpes. Don't know which one you went to this year but, based on photographs Crich had a bigger footfall. That's not to say that Cleethorpes didn't have it's moments. Anyways, whatever you did I hope you had fun.
